Dr. Darlene Esler attended Crystal River High School in Florida before starting her undergraduate studies at Eckerd College in St. Pete, Fl. Dr. Esler has earned a Masters Degree in Animal Behavior at the University of Iowa. In 1990 she was accepted into the University of Florida Veterinary School from which she graduated with honors and her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 1994. Dr. Esler went into immediate small animal practice in Gainesville before joining us at Chiefland Animal Hospital in 2001.
Dr.’s Esler and Robson practiced together in Gainesville for many years and really enjoy sharing the concerns and well being of all of our patients at Chiefland Animal Hospital.
Carlie Evans, along with her husband Alan, is the owner/manager of Chiefland Animal Hospital. Carlie worked extensively in the veterinary field while eaning her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from the University of Florida. Carlie departed from the field for a short time while she designed, developed and operated Canterbury-Florida’s Equestrian Showplace in Newberry, Fl. After leaving the business in the capable hands of her partner, Wendy Low, she and her husband decided to open Chiefland Animal Hospital. Carlie had worked with both Dr. Esler and Dr. Robson in the past and is pleased to have them as the main force behind the success of the hospital.
Dr. Susan Ludwig D.V.M. A lifelong Florida resident, Dr Ludwig graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine with High Honors in 1995. She also attended the Chi Institute School of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine in 2007. Dr. Ludwig enjoys spending her free time with her husband, 3 children, 5 cats, 4 dogs and birds. She officially joined us in 2008 but has done part-time and relief work with us for years
